Role for New and Natural Resources to Strategies National Reincarnation
In 2020, I delivered an online talk on “Decarbonization – Financially Viable Ecosystems are key for success” in the weekly show of Policy Times and moderated by the late Dr. P. Sekhar, in which I stressed on the key points for successful transition for decarbonization.
As the world races towards decarbonization, the sustainability of the various initiatives will be highly dependent on the financial viability of these initiatives. Transition to new avenues in decarbonization will necessarily need government support in the form of tax breaks, subsidies, etc till the markets are able to fully absorb the prices of the new sources of energy.
The renergy crisis, since 2022, has shown that underinvestment in the fossil fuels in the last few years has hit the supply chains hard. Hence planners need to plan a phased transition from fossil fuels to renewables with fossil fuels still having a critical role to play.
